Samsung Techwin is building humankind’s future in the turbo compressor and power generator areas based on its technology for airplane gas turbine engines.
As the country’s only gas turbine engine manufacturer, Samsung Techwin has made 5,100-plus airplane engines, including engines for the Korean Air Force’s main fighter planes, thereby contributing to the country’s national defenses and the hi-tech precision machine industry.
The Company provides first-rate product quality and services, including the assembly of gas turbine engines and parts production, to customers both in and outside the country in a strategic alliance with such world-class airplane engine manufacturers as GE, P&W, and Rolls-Royce.
Samsung Techwin aims to join the ranks of world-class gas turbine engine manufacturers by pushing ahead with projects for the joint development of commercial airplane engines, including GEnx, Korean-type helicopters and small-sized engines, based on the design, development and production technology it has accumulated over the years.

Samsung Techwin developed the world’s first Non-Lube Miniature Air Compressor. On the basis of such technological capability, it supplies mammoth-sized air compressors to large-scale process industry markets worldwide.
The Company has also succeeded in developing a combined heat power generation system using gas turbines and engines based on airplane gas turbine engine technology, and is applying it to industrial sectors. The Company also plays the role of a Total Energy Solution Provider in the electricity, heat, and compressed air and gas markets.
The Company has become a leader in energy industry technologies through the development of a turbo-type refrigeration compressor, a gas compressor for LNG carriers, an air supply device for fuel cells, and combined heat power generation facilities on the strength of the precision machinery/system integration technologies it has accumulated.
