I used to think 'dinner with colleagues after work' is all about drink 'mixed alcohol' and eat 'Pork barbeque' till very late. But, when I had my 1st 'gathering'of Design department, I totally changed my thought about 'team gathering'. We went to very nice and popular seafood restaurant. We talked, and had a glass of wine! That kind of atmosphere made me feel so comfortable. It was just like one scene of the foreign TV drama. Great food and having conversation in an atmosphere of freedom, I can't help but think I am very lucky to work at Samsung Techwin.
When I was student I always felt that there was something missing, even though I was really good at design work. Because that was just Design, it was not the real product. But, as soon as I joined Samsung Techwin, I started market research, attended a staff meeting to make a better design for real product. And after we worked night and day, I could see the product that produced based on the design I participated. It was one of the greatest moments in my life. And I feel happy when I consider that where I should put on the ‘Samsung Logo’.
At first, I wasn't confident about what I can do here. Everything was so unfamiliar to me, and I felt kind of shy at that time. But everyone helped me out so kindly. As time went on, I got confidence my work and now I enjoy what I do here.
Does Samsung Techwin have designers? Of course! Yes! Samsung Techwin's Design Room is responsible for all design-related of the company. Design Room’s main tasks are divided into three main parts which are product design part, UX design part and Visual part. I work as a product designer in product design part. I don't have extensive project experience but I work hard on Camera design work to be a better product designer. In the future, I want to experience various project such as high-speed chip Mounter machine, Defense equipment, Boundaries robot just like Design room's seniors.
As a product designer at Samsung Techwin, I want to make Samsung Techwin as famous company known as great quality as well as the great Design so that everyone got to have at least one of our Products at their home.
